Zoe-perry

Perry was born in Chicago to the actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. She made her first appearances on television in the role of Jackie Harris, a character played by her mother in the ABC comedy Roseanne. Perry was forbidden to begin acting by her parents until she reached adulthood, as they feared the stress it would result in. Perry was shy in high-school and was not a performer. Her first acting experience was in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends after she was moved to the university from Boston University. Perry, after graduating from Boston University moved into New York in search of television roles. Her small part was on shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, homesickness drove her to California to find theater work. Perry was a part of Broadway in The Other Place with her mother in the year 2013. In 2015 she performed alongside her father as well as Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry played a role in 9 episodes of the ABC drama The Family in 2016. Perry played a prominent role in the ABC political drama Scandal that starred her dad. She also played in the role of a young Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - an CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. The part was offered by audition even though she is a relative with the character.
