Sharni Vison, who is an American-born Australian dancer and actress, was born 22 July 1983, in Sydney Australia. In 2001, Sharni was selected to appear in two episodes of the Australian Soap Opera Home and Away. She was chosen to be the lead role in the soap opera in Australia Home and Away due to her performance in this limited part was so impressive that casting agents sought her for the other parts. She was however rejected for her role. Thus, on the very same show, Cassie Turner was chosen to portray a teenage troubled girl living in foster care.
