Lita Rossana Ford (or Lita Ford as she is more commonly known as, was an American-born British guitarist and singer who led the women-only hard-rock group The Runaways during the late 1970s. Though the group didn't have much success in the United States but they enjoyed huge popularity internationally. That was the case especially in Japan. The band broke up in 1979, Ford began a successful solo career with heavy metal. Following vocal training, she released her solo debut album, 'Out For Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin on the Edge'. Ford failed to make anything with either of them and was largely absent from the world of rock for an entire decade. Her biggest hit, 'Lita' was released in 1989. Kiss Me Deadly was a major hit, along with the ballad Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. Sadly, her fame was only temporary and she was absent from the industry for several decades. Then she returned after the release of 'Black in 1995 and 'Wicked Wonderland about 15 years later. "Time Capsule" was her album "Time Capsule" was released by her in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
